Whitby Town v NFU

 Evostik Premier Division

Whitby Town v  North Ferriby United
Turnbull Stadium, Whitby

Wednesday 22 September  2010 Kick-off 7.45 pm

North Ferriby travel to Whitby on Wednesday for an Evostik Premier Division match. Ferriby will be looking to extend their unbeaten run and continue their climb up the table.

Ferriby's Manager Neil Allison was pleased with his team's 2-0 victory over Buxton on Saturday which was played in front of a larger crowd than usual. The Villagers dominated the match against Buxton and were convincing 2-0 winners.

The victory stretched Ferriby's unbeaten run to 4 games in which they have conceded only one goal.  After  a shaky start, Ferriby are now displaying the form that they had last season and are getting the results that the quality of their football deserves.

Allison is expecting another difficult game at Whitby who have had a mixed start and were beaten 5-1 at FC Halifax on Saturday.. Although it is early days, the Evostik Premier Division is shaping-up to be very competitive this season. With only 5 points separating the top 12 clubs, a win would see The Villagers increase the pressure on the clubs above them.

With the possible exception of Ben Turner who missed Saturday's match through injury, Allison has a full squad to choose from. Should they play on Wednesday, Russell Fry will be making his 100th League appearance for the Club whilst Kevin Larvin will be making his 100th first team appearance.

Probable Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, Ben Hallam,  Ben Turner, Tom Matthews, Paul Foot, Sam Denton, Paul Ellender, Kevin Larvin, Paul Harsley, Chris Bolder, Ben Morley, Russell Fry, Gary Bradshaw, Alex Davidson, Chris White, Wayne Brooksby
