Saturday 8 October 3.00 pm
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Northwich Victoria v North Ferriby United
New manager Billy Heath takes charge of the Villagers for the first time when they travel to second-placed Northwich Victoria on Saturday.
Heath will be looking to his players to end a run of six league defeats. As he says, "I'm looking forward to the game. We need points and we need them quickly to get away from the relegation zone."
Heath is hoping in to bring in some new players to increase competition in the squad. However he may not be able to sign players ahead of Saturday's match due to the seven day notice rule. He is unlikely to make wholesale changes to the squad as he recognises that it is largely the same set of players that has reached the promotion players in the last two years.
Northwich have lost their last two games, including a surprise defeat to Nantwich Town in their FA Cup tie last Saturday.
Definitely out on Saturday are Sam Mulready whose loan period has expired and the still injured Chris Bolder and Ben Morley. Mark Greaves has announced his retirement as a player. Paul Foot may be fit enough to return to the squad following injury. Peter Davidson has returned to the Club from Guiseley and is available for Saturday.
Possible Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, James Williams, Nathan Peat, Kevin Larvin, Paul Foot, Greg Wright, Sam Denton, Peter Davidson, Gary Bradshaw, Paul Harsley, Russell Fry, John Leonard, Mathew Stirland, Danny Wright, Tom Clarke, Rob Moy
