NFU v Whitby Town

Evostik League Premier Division
North Ferriby United v Whitby Town
Tuesday 22 February 2011 Kick-off 7.45 pm

The Villagers entertain struggling Whitby Town at the Rapid Solicitos' Stadium on Tuesday. With both sides needing the points for different reasons it is sure to be a difficult match. The postponement of Saturday's match against Bradford saw Ferriby pushed down to sixth place in the table.
Manager John Anderson will be looking to his players to pick-up their home form and regain a play-off spot. The coming weeks are going to be a challenging time for The Villagers but they have the ability and the experience to claim a play-off spot.
Anderson and his players were frustrated at not being able to play on Saturday. After their performance at Retford last Tuesday in atrocious conditions, they were looking forward to having an early opportunity to turn the tables on Bradford following the previous weekend's home defeat.

The Villagers produced a professional and mature performance at Retford. The pitch was extremely wet and cut-up from the start. The second half was played in driving rain with water pooling on the pitch. However, Ferriby continued to play as normal a game as the conditions would allow and thoroughly deserved their win with goals from Gary Bradshaw and Chris Bolder.

Anderson should have a virtually full squad to choose from. Alex Davidson is out as he is recovering from a medial ligament injury suffered against FC Halifax..

Possible Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, Adam Nicklin, Ben Turner, Paul Foot, Steve Burton, Sam Denton, Paul Harsley, Kevin Larvin, Chris Bolder, Peter Davidson, Russell Fry, Gary Bradshaw, Chris White, Wayne Brooksby, James Williams, Luke Thompson
