In their final home Evostik Premier Division match of the season Ferriby entertain relegated Ossett Town in what is a must win match for John Anderson's team if it is to keep its promotion hopes alive. It is hoped that a large crowd will turn-out to cheer the team on in such a crucial match and also to applaud the players
for their achievements this season.

Monday's results mean that Ferriby's play-off hopes are still alive even if they are dependent on other teams, especially Bradford Park Avenue and Buxton, dropping points whilst Ferriby must win both their remaining fixtures.

Whilst they may already be relegated, Ossett will certainly be playing for their pride. Ferriby will need to be patient and not become frustrated if matters do not go their way early on.

The 4-1 demolition of Kendal last Saturday was a welcome relief after a run of disappointing results in recent weeks. The approach play was incisive and the finishing clinical. The back four looked very strong with Sam Denton winning virtually everything in the air.

If Ferriby can show the same form against Ossett on Friday and at Frickley on Easter Monday they will give themselves every opportunity to gather the six points they will be looking for.

However, Anderson will certainly be telling his players that promotion is still very much a possibility and he should have little problem in motivating the team. The players have performed well this season and will want to do all they can to gain a coveted play-off spot

After the recent bad luck with injuries, Anderson will be hoping to have a full squad to select from.
