NFU v Nantwich T (Evo Prem)

 Evostik League Premier Division
North Ferriby United  v Nantwich Town
Saturday 13th  November 2010 Kick-off 3.00pm

Ferriby return to league action when Nantwich Town visit the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Saturday. Nantwich are currently in the relegation zone but have been picking-up better results of late, including an amazing 6-6 draw at Mickleover Sports.

Ferriby manager John Anderson knows that despite Nantwich's current position it will not be an easy game on Saturday and he will be keen to remind his players about not being complacent after two high-scoring wins in the last week.

The comfortable 8-0 win over a resolute Hessle Sporting Club in the East Riding Senior Cup on Tuesday showed a patient aspect to Ferriby's game. Some determined defensive play and good goalkeeping from Stephen Fox kept the Villagers at bay until the 41st minute. Instead of becoming frustrated at the lack of goals, Ferriby continued to play their usual brand of passing football. They were rewarded with seven second-half goals as Hessle began to tire. It was a fully professional performance that pleased Anderson.

Tuesday's match saw a welcome return to the first team of skipper Paul Foot following his hernia operation and also a first team debut to young Sam Belcher who came on as a second-half substitute.

The last two games have shown Anderson's faith in his squad and reserve team players. James Williams started on Tuesday and, as at Kendal, there were four Reserve team players on the bench. With most of his first team squad available again, Anderson will have some interesting selection decisions to make.

Probable Ferriby Squad: Ben Hallam, Steve Wilson, Ben Turner, Paul Foot Tom Matthews, Sam Denton, Kevin Larvin, Paul Harsley, Chris Bolder, Ben Morley, Russell Fry, Gary Bradshaw, Alex Davidson, Wayne Brooksby, Chris White, Peter Davidson, Gareth Owen, James Williams,
