Norh Ferriby United v Frickley Athletic

North Ferriby entertain Frickley Athletic at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Saturday in another vital Evostik Premier Division fixture. The Villagers regained fifth place in the Division after Saturday's 2-1 vicyory over Burscough and will be looking for another win to cement their place in the top five.

Manager John Anderson was pleased to have gained all three points against Burscough. After a good first-half performance which saw Ferriby go in 2-0 up, they dropped the tempo somewhat in the second-half and despite creating a number of chances could not find  the goal that would probably have seen-off Burscough's challenge and the final score was not really a fair reflection of the game. 

Frickley Athletic remain just above the relegation zone but will have no doubt gained some confidence from Saturday's 6-3 win at fellow strugglers, Ashton United. A good performance from Feriby on Tuesday will put them in good heart for their next two league matches at Buxton, currently in fourth place and at home to leaders FC Halifax Town.

The Division remains very tight with most teams capable of beating each other. The key to winning promotion is, as always, consistency. Ferriby certainly have the ability to put a good run together and such is their spirit and belief in themselves that it is hard to believe that they will not be pivotal figures in the promotion race.

Paul Harsley is likely to be out for at least four weeks with his ankle ligament injury but otherwise Anderson has a full squad to choose from.
