Ferriby were made to work hard for this victory. The match was played in a very competitive manner with both sides playing some good football.
Ferriby dominated the opening 10 minutes with both Wayne Brooksby and Mathew Stirland going close.
Steve Wilson in the Ferriby goal was called in to action in the 13th minute. First he palmed over a Craig Bridge then saved Josh Nicholl's header from the resulting corner.
Both teams continued to press and Wilson wa sin action again when he finally collected the ball following a goalmouth scramble.
Ferriby took the lead in the 21st minute. Brooksby was fouled as he played the ball forward but the referee played an advantage that John Leonard capitalised on by shooting past Rob Zand.
Brooksby then went close for Ferriby before Bridge forced Wilson to a full-length save.
The second half began with Wilson making good saves from Lee Bognor and Scott Wilby. Ferriby responded with a four-man move that ened with Stirland's shot being parried by Zand.
Both teams continued to attack but there were few clear-cut chances.
Jonathan Creek doubled Ferriby's lead in the 83rd minute when he latched on to a loose ball and fire home from 25 yards.
Ferriby deserved their win but Bottesford will be ruing Wilson's performance for The Villagers
