Bradford PA v NFU

Evostik League Premier Division
Bradford Park Avenue  v   North Ferriby United
Monday 28 February 2011 Kick-off 7.45 pm

The Villagers will be looking to reverse their recent  home defeat by Bradford Park Avenue when they travel to the Horsfall Stadium for a rare Monday evening fixture.

Bradford will not have given-up hope of a play-off spot but may face fixture problems as their home match on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Bradford may start favourites following their recent win at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium but Ferriby have an outstanding away record this season that they will be eager to maintain.

Ferriby climbed-up to fourth place following Saturday's 2-0 win at promotion rivals Colwyn Bay. It finished a good week for John Anderson's side with six points, eight goals and two clean sheets. Anderson has been delighted with the performance of his team. Their football has been skilful and professional and the team plays with an ever-increasing maturity.

Like most teams this season, Colwyn Bay found it difficult to cope with Ferriby's passing game as The Villagers made good use of a large pitch that was in good condition despite heavy overnight rain. Headed goals from Chris Bolder and Gar Bradshaw midway through the first-half clinched a well-deserved victory.

The Villagers defended well in the second half as Bay tried to salvage something from the game. A last-minute penalty save by Steve Wilson ensured a clean sheet for Ferriby

Ferriby have been drawn against Hull City in the semi-finals of the East Riding Senior Cup. The match is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 29th March at the East Riding County ground on Inglemire Lane.

Anderson will have a virtually full squad at Bradford with Chris White returning to the squad following his coaching course at the weekend. Alex Davidson's medial ligament injury is likely to keep him out for another week.

Possible Ferriby Squad: Steve Wilson, Adam Nicklin, Ben Turner, Paul Foot, Steve Burton, Sam Denton, Paul Harsley, Kevin Larvin, Chris Bolder, Peter Davidson, Russell Fry, Gary Bradshaw, Wayne Brooksby, Chris White, James Williams, Luke Thompson
